General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) Policy


We take the protection of our Allotment Holders data seriously and will only use your personal information for allotment administration purposes and for communicating with you about your BLAA Membership and Allotment Tenancy. Records for each Allotment Holder are kept by the BLAA Committee.


Under no circumstances will Allotment Holders data be used for purposes other than those connected to the legitimate activities of BLAA Membership and Allotment Tenancy. We will never share your data without prior permission.


When you sign up for BLAA Membership and Allotment Tenancy, you provide personal information such as :

 

  • personal contact details that allow us to directly contact you, e.g. your name, address, email address, and telephone number

 

In addition, during and after your tenancy we hold :

 

  • records of your interactions with us such as telephone conversations, emails and other correspondence, and your instructions to us
  • payment details in connection with payment of your BLAA membership, allotment tenancy, and maintenance fees

 

As a small not for profit association, we are not required to register for GDPR or pay a fee to the Information Commission Office.
